AML & Compliance Policy

Trustrade Australia is a registered Digital Currency Exchange (DCE) provider under the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC). As part of our regulatory obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006, we are required to implement robust policies and procedures to ensure all crypto transactions on our platform are lawful, transparent, and secure.

1. What We Collect and Why

To provide you with our services — including cryptocurrency trading, account management, and fraud prevention — we need to collect some personal data. This typically includes your name, date of birth, contact details, residential address, government-issued ID (such as a passport or driver’s licence), bank account information, device details, IP address, and crypto wallet identifiers.

This data is collected for identity verification, transaction processing, and compliance with AML/CTF regulations in Australia. Without this information, we may not be able to create or maintain your account.

2. How Your Data Is Used

Your personal information is used to verify your identity, support your account, send notifications, provide transaction receipts, and improve your experience on the platform. It also helps us detect suspicious activity, resolve issues, and comply with legal obligations. You may also receive updates, offers, or newsletters — but only if you’ve opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

3. Security and Storage

We partner with secure, certified cloud infrastructure providers that meet ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, and PCI DSS standards. Access to your data is strictly limited to essential staff within Trustrade. All systems are protected using multi-factor authentication, permission-based access, and strict audit controls.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

Trustrade does not sell or rent your data to any third party. We may share personal information with trusted service providers who help us run key parts of our business — such as ID verification tools, secure communication platforms, or payment processors. We also comply with requests from Australian authorities when required by law.

If our business structure changes (for example, through a merger or acquisition), limited data may be shared under confidentiality agreements.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access and correct the personal data we hold about you. You can submit a request by contacting our support team. We do not charge fees for access or correction, unless there are unusual circumstances. In some cases, we may need to retain your historical data due to legal, regulatory, or audit obligations. If we are unable to meet your request, we’ll explain why.

6. Consent and Changes

By signing up for a Trustrade account and using our platform, you consent to the handling of your personal data in line with this policy. If we make any significant changes to this policy, we will notify you via email or through the platform.
